My great-great-grandfather (Ehler Harries) immigrated from Germany to a settlement in Marshall County, KS. One of the other main families that he married into was Meier. I know the Meier family had a lot of daughters, though I don't know if this is connected. I don't know anything about Ehler's siblings, since he was an illegitamite child.
