Wisconsin Harrelson Pictures
My father passed away in 2008 and I was given some old photos because I am the genealogist in the family. One of the albums had 12 to 15 hard cover pictures. Many were children, two were husband and wife portraits, two were face portraits from the same photographer and one was a frontal potrait of an older man, I believe he might be Ezekial Harelson. Some of the studio's were Watton, van de wall, and J.M.Chambers of Lancaster Wisconsin and a few are from Stockton California.Only one had a name on it and that is how I have identified these photos as Harrelson's. This photo was of an infant and had the name Candace Worley written on the back, from Stockton. I was able to trace Candace to Jeremiah and Ella Worley, born 1879, which helps date the album. Ella Sonora Harelson Worley is the daughter of John Harelson and born in Grant county Wisconsin in 1854. This is why I believe these photo's are of the Harelson Clan. I have them because I descend from Marshall and Francis Harelson Ellis. Francis is the daughter of Ezekial and sister to many of the men here in grant county. She would have been the Aunt to many of the children I am sure. I also have a hand drawn ledger book from my GGrandfather Samuel J. Walker, dated 1890, that identifies the burial site of Ezekial and Fanny Harelson and identifies a brother of Francis is buried their also. I wonder who that is, possibly Edward or Edmond? It is located on the vesperman farm but the stones for them are all missing. These portraits are very striking and present a very handsome family.I would love to learn more about who they might be. Any ideas or help would be [email protected]
