I am granddaughter of the Honorable Doc David (1871-1949 Member of House of Representives) for Horry County,SC from (1901- until his death in 1949) and Ava Jane Graham Harrelson (1878-1939) of Greensea- Loris area of Horry County, SC. I would like to share information and photo's with descendants of this line. They lived on main street in a grande two-story home in Loris and donated the land beside their home to the now First Baptist Church of Loris.
Doc is acrediated with the growth of Loris and Horry County and much more. Janie died from a heart attack, on her deathbed she ask my grandfather to go to Florida and get her baby sister, Jackie Ann, married her and take care of her. Papa did just that and left Aunt Jacke Ann well off until her own death in 1962. She was a wonderful lady and funny personality who gave lots of love to us grands. They are buried in the Doc D. Harrelson Cemetery beside my parents, Homer H. and Justine Williams Harrelson) just outside of Loris, SC on our family farm De Natchez.
