Different Ben's, but I did do a little bit of checking on your Ben. On the 1870 Federal Census Report, conducted 23 SEP 1870, Western Branch Township, Norfolk County, Virginia, USA, I found a Benjamin Harrell, age 6 years, living with his parents, John, b. North Carolina, age 59 years, and Eliza, b. Virginia, age 49 years. They had other children listed on the report, also.
