Isabella Spence (Spencer) Foster Harrah came from Ireland in 1839 on the Caledonia from Londonderry, Ireland, with her mother Jane Spence and three sisters--Sarah, Dolly, and Jane. Mom Jane was 50 and a widow at the time. Her father and brothers had come over earlier and she and the girls joined him. Jane's maiden name was McKee. Within a few years of arrival, Jane and all of the girls were married.

Jane's father was James McKee and he is buried in a family plot with his son Gilbert. He died 3 Jan 1832--years before Jane and the girls arrived. The cemetery can be found on a hill south of TR 68 and east of the junction of TR 437, Washington Twp. Coshocton Co., OH.

Isabella married Isaac Foster in Coshocton County on 10 Dec 1846. Daughter Jane was born 24 Nov 1848. Isaac died in March of 1851. Isabella remarried Thomas Harrah on 27 Oct 1859. I believe Laken was his son from a previous marriage.

My family is descended from Jane Foster, but I've been tracing the Harrah line to find out Isabella's death date and place of burial. She was one of my grandmother's brick walls and I've just started working on this.
