I am also trying to determine who his parents were. Could you tell me where you got the middle initial V from? For some reason, I am having trouble finding him in census records. I have been trying to figure out which Theophilus Harrah in 1850 is mine. Below is what I have found:
Fayette County, 14th District
Theophalis Harra 19 living with George Alderson and family.
Theophalis S Harra 19 living with Gillashie Kincaid and family. There are other children with the last name of Harra living there.
Which one do you believe to be ours?
I have found the correct one in the 1860 cenus, but then I cannot locate him again until the 1910 census where he is living with his daughter Margaret and son-in-law James.
Have you been able to find him in any other census records?
This is my husbands side of the family, and I have just started working on this line. (1) James S Nugen + Margaret E Harrah (2)Aurelius (just one of the spellings)E Nugen + Iva/Ida Cavendish (3)Lena Nugen + Kenneth Withrow (4) Robert Withrow + Joan Pierce (5) Scot Withrow (my husband)
If I find any information about the parents of Theophilus, I will let you know.
