Hi Gilberte,

Thank you very much for the information. This is really great.

Listed below are Rupert's parents and siblings from the 1911 Canada Census - Bentinck, Grey South, Ontario.

Robert Johnston b. Oct 1871 Ont. Age 40 English
Maggie (Wife) b. Sep 1879 Ont. Age 32 Scotch
Gorman (Son) b. Mar 1902 Ont. Age 10
Hazel (Daughter) b. Sep 1903 Ont. Age 8
Rupert (Son) b. May 1905 Ont. Age 6
Melvil (Son) b. Jul 1909 Ont. Age 1

In the 1901 Canada Census - Bentinck, Grey South, Ontario, I found the following info:

Robert Johnton b. 31 Oct 1870 Ont. Age 30
Maggie Johnston b. 23 Sep 1879 Ont. Age 21
Infant (Gorman) b. 26 Mar 1901 Ont. Age 3 Mo.

Also in the 1901 Canada Census - Bentinck, Grey South, Ontario, this family listed below lived in the household enumerated just before Robert Johnston so they may be his parents.
This has to be verified with other sources.

Hinman Johnston b. 05 Feb 1825 Age 76. Born in England Emigrated 1840.
Ellen (Wife) b. 10 Mar 1835 Age 66. Born in Scotland Emigrated 1841.
Edmund (Son) b. 20 Dec 1858 Ont. Age 42.
Lena (Daughter) b. 10 Apr 1867 Ont. Age 34.
John Potter (Grandson) b. 10 Jun 1886 Ont. Age 14.
Ethel Potter (Granddaughter) b. 15 Jul 1879 Ont. Age 21.

If they are Robert's parents, then we have this family traced back to England and Scotland. We still need the Marriage date for Hinman and Ellen and Ellen's maiden name.
We also need the Marriage date for Robert and Maggie and Maggie's maiden name. Could they be listed in the Bentinck book you mentioned?

Elaine
