Beginning research on my line of Harper family. Ggrandfather was Joseph b. Mar 1878, married Fannie Bell Lee about 1896 and resided in Gibson Co., TN. His father was William Harper, b. 1845 in TN, married Minerva and had 9 children. 1880 Gibson Co., TN Census gives Wm's father bp as VA and mother's as NC. Any help would be appreciated. This line has been very hard to continue.
