Hi> I am looking for information on the Harper family. This is the info I have up to this point. My family settled in Ontario in the early to mid 1800's. They settled in Chesterville Winchester township. My great great Grandfather's name was Charles Harper. I am told that his dad's name was Adam Harper. They came up from Albany NY. they had come up from Harper's Ferry Viriginia to aviod the war between the Brits and the Colonies. I have no dates at this piont because there was a fire in the late 1880s in Chesterville Ont. The records were destroyed. Any help would be appreciated. I am trying to put together a family tree.
