I don't know if there is a connection between your Harnesses and mine but I am descended from a Martin HARNISH born in Germany who immigrated to Lancaster Co., Pa. His son, went by Christian HARNISH Sr., but Cristian Sr's son, is recorded as Christian HARNESS Jr.! Christian Sr had moved his family to Botecourt County, Va. Christian Jr's son, David Harness Sr., moved his family to Wythe Co., Va and then on to Rockcastle Co., Ky where he died.
Feel free to e-mail me if you think we have a connection. My maternal grandmother was a Harness.
Sincerely, Rebekah Williams
