We made a trip to Roscommon, Ireland in 1999 and visited the Roscommon Heritage Center and I left some information
there regarding my gr. grandparents who I believed came
from the Roscommon area. My gr.grandfather's name was
Lawrence Higgins born @ 1824 -1825.
They sent me the following information.
Name - Lawrence Higgins
Town - Athlone - County Roscommon
Parents- Father - James Higgins
Mother - Honoria Harney
Date of- Baptism - July 16, 1824
Sponser -- Bridget McGann
I have no information on the Harney family. Does anyone
know of Honoria Harney married to a James Higgins?
