DEATH OF ASBURY HARMON
Isaac Asbury Harmon, formerly of McDonald county where he lived for 70 years, died at his home in Neosho on Adams street, Tuesday morning, aged 92 years. He moved to Neosho from his farm on Indian Creek a year or so ago and has been living here most of the time since. The body was taken by motor hearse to Erie yesterday afternoon and interment made there at the old family burying ground.
Deceased was born in east Tennessee 92 years ago and came to this state with his father, Mark Harmon, and his brothers in 1846, settling on Indian Creek east of Erie where he lived for nearly 70 years. his brothers were Daniel, John and Davis, all of whom are dead. Asbury was the last of his father's family to pass away. He was married twice and his last wife survives, also four sons and one daughter, namely: Isaac, Richard, Albert, and John (the last being a son by his last wife) and Mrs. Stephens. Mr. Harmon was a successfull farmer and became quite well to do, owning 260 acres of good land well improved and other property. He had deeded nearly all his estate to his wife and children before his death. - Neosho Times.
