Many thanks Dennis, I used the IGI Batch numbers to find Harlings in my area of Kent. Since posting my message in January, I have discovered that Fanny Harling is our GGGgrandmother b.1792!! George Hunt b.1818 was her son and married Eliza Harling b.1817 about 1842. Fanny Hunt was a widow and married Richard Harling in 1832-Eliza's uncle. That's why she described the children as grandchildren in the 1851 census. Don't these discoveries make it worthwhile. I have got back to 1719 and we may well be connected around the 1750s as your family is also in the area. Keep in touch.
