Harley's from Donegal Ireland

There was a small family of Harleys in Cruic, Meanbanad, Co Donegal and I can only go back as far as grandparents Seamus and Mary, Their children were: Paddy John, Joe, Dan Madge, Hannah and Mary. John spent his grown up years in the US and was in the Army and was a guard at the White House when Pres, Roosecvelt died The tales I heard of the residence in Ireland was that 2 families arrived by boat to the Irish coast running or escaping from something and 1 family got off in Donegal while the other proceeded down the coast. No further details. Anyone know more?
