I have a Simon Harker born April 1, 1830 in Yorkshire England and died March 13th, 1939 in Spirit Lake, Iowa.
He came to the US in 1849 with his mother, 2 brothers and a sister to Dubuque, Iowa in 1849 where he was engaged in mining. His mother (Mary Waters) was shown to be 93 when they came to the US.

In 1881 they moved to Dickinson Iowa locating on the Lafe Ring farm. I have additional information as this is a relative.

Simon married Zenatta Evadina Kennedy and they had 11 children.
