Can anyone in the Wythe County or Carroll county, Va area help me with this family. I am trying to find information on Float Hardy. Some records indicate that she is buried at White Top Cemetery in Austinville. When was she married to James David Mabe and who are his parents????
Here is an obit that I found.
David Cecil Mabe, 60, of Bassett, and formerly of Wythe County, died Sunday, Jan. 14, 2007.
He was born in Wythe County to James David Mabe and Flora Ellen Hardy Mabe.
He was employed at American of Martinsville.
Surviving are his wife, Betty Clemons Mabe; two daughters, Brittany Gammon of Bassett and Lisa Turner of Stuart; and one granddaughter.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Reese Funeral Chapel in Austinville. The Rev. Rick Poland will officiate. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home
