I am looking for information on my Great great grandfather, Andrew Hardy his tombstone says he was born in Argylshire in 1762. He came to Canada in 1810 along with his brother George, who was reported to be a watchmaker. He may have settled in Kingston On. or gone to the US.
Andrew was a stone mason and was a forman on the building of Fort Henry in Kingston. When he finished that job he got a Soldiers land grant in Esquesing Twp. Halton Co On.
He married Janet Christina Douglas in 1820 and help found Boston Church in that area which is now a historic site.
They had 6 Children and one son who Married Barbara Watson, I have no information on her either.
If anyone knows anything about these people I would love to hear from them.
