My Great Great Grandfather Andrew Hardy was born in 1762 in Argyleshire. He evidently served in the Napolionic wars and came to Canada along with his brother George in 1810. George was a watchmaker but Andrew was a stonesmith and worked on Building Fort Henry in Kingston. When that work was done he was given a land grant in Esquesing Twp in Halton County Ontario.
He married Janet Christine Douglas from Perthshire Scotland in 1821 in Esquesing twp. Their family consisted of John Hardy who Married Barbara Watkins, when she died he married Jessie Laurenson from the Shetland Islands, Margaret who married Christopher Preston, Annie who married John McKinley, Janet who married Robert Kennedy, Jessie who married John Walter and George who never married
If any of these people are familiar I am seeking information about them. I have John's family, Margarets family and a little of the rest.
