I was doing a search on the Hardy family when I saw you post on Mitchel G. Hardy.I just found a Mitchell G. Hardy, (Mason emblem) born Nov. 2, 1806, died Sept. 19, 1883, buried in Crary Cemetery, Bluff Springs, Escambia County, FL.Also Louiza A. Hardy, (Mother) born Jan. 30, 1828, died June 23, 1911, who was probably his wife. Also Jesse Hardy,(F.G.B. emblem) born Dec. 12, 1864, died Apr. 8, 1898, Cecila A. Hardy, born Oct. 9, 1862, died Oct. 23, 1868, and Thomas D. Hardy, born July 23, 1860, died Feb. 23, 1863.
I was hoping this family was connected to my gggreat grandfather, George G. Hardy, born about 1821 in Georgia, died after 1860.If anyone has any information on this family I would love to hear from them.George G. Hardywas listed on the1850 Santa Rosa Co., FL Census along with his wife, Harriet and seven children. There were living in the same househole with John S. King, age 22, and Margaret, age 16. I would love to get any additional information on the Hardy family that migrated to Florida from Georgia.
Thanks, Gloria
