I have been researching John HARDY and this looks like the one I have in my family tree. The fact that he married Lucy TYLER clinches it.Supposedly, they had 4 children in NH (June, Rhoda Ann, Ebenezer (Eben), and Mary, then they moved to MI around 1849 and had 3 more children (Samuel, Nancy and Jerome).I picked them up in the 1850, 1860, 1870 and 1880 census for MI.
In the 1850 census, the following children were listed: Ann (9), Jane (7), Eben (3), and Alonzo (1).In the 1860 census there were: Rhoda A. (18), Ebben J. (14), Nancy E (4) and Jerome (1 1/2). That would mean they were all born before 1850. A Sam'l (3) was picked up in the 1860 census, along with Nancy (16). I don't know what happened to Alonzo, Jane (or June) or Mary.
Rhoda Ann is my wife's gg-grandmother. She married a Lorenzo DUTTON in 1862 in MI.
