Jay, I am the GGdaughter of William Thomas "Dock" Hardy, son of Thomas and Matilda Hardy.Dock and his wife Fannie Moore Hardy are buried in Navarro Co.I know Wiley Alexander Hardy and his wife are buried in Cushing.George Hardy (posting earlier in this thread, Hi, George & Glenda) is a descendant of the younger William, who apparently did not come to Texas (Thomas and Matilda came to Texas well after most of their older children did). Most of T&M's other children are buried near them in Caledonia Cem. in Rusk Co. near the Panola county line.My brother is married to a GGGrandaughter of T&M's oldest son, Wilson Reed Hardy.Another cousin is Annette Wragg, whose G*Gmother was Jane E. Hardy Wragg.Yet another is Shirley Crump, G*Grandaughter of Henry Campbell Hardy. And the "jchristy" whose web page you found is my SON, John. You are surrounded.John is away a lot right now and his web page lags our family info by up to a year.I will be happly to send you any info we have on Thomas and Matilda's descendants, including photos of their headstone(s), but George Hardy has done more thorough research (and actually found the marriage record of my Dock and Fannie in Tennessee, where we would never have thought to look).Frank (also posting earlier this thread), you have shed some light and offered powerful clues. Otherwise, I had come to the brick wall on Thomas and Matilda. I will be happy to send you, Jay and Frank, a .ged or .ftw file of what I have, which I sent George earlier.Jay, I went by Cushing Cem. one soggy, soggy day but raining too hard for me to find Wiley A.'s headstone.Look forward to hearing from you.(email [email protected]).Helen Dearing
