Ralph,
I started with the WorldConnect project and found that John Conte, [email protected], had Chandler and Betsey. He didn't have much on Betsey, just her birthplace. I was able to verify that in the Essex county VRs.
Births
JOHNSTON, Betsey Carr, d. Thomas and Hannah, July 11, 1825.
Burnham Morrill, s. Thomas and Hannah, July 1, 1827.
Caroline, d. Thomas and Hannah, July 5, 1833.
George Thomas, s. Thomas and Hannah, June 5, 1832.
Hannah Morrill, d. Thomas and Hannah, July 23, 1829.
Mary Ann, d. Thomas and Hannah, July 12, 1831.
Vital records of West Newbury, MA, p. 24
(Aren't those birthdates interesting? All 6 with dates from June 5 to Jul 23.)
The deaths of Caroline and Mary Ann were listed in the West Newbury VRs.
Deaths
JOHNSTON, Caroline, d. Thomas and Hannah, July 5, 1833.
Mary Ann, d. Thomas and Hannah, July 12, 1831.
Vital records of West Newbury, MA, p. 110
Thomas and Hannah's marriage was recorded under Johnson and not Johnston.
Marriage
JOHNSON, Thomas and Hannah Morril, Aug. 29, 1824. [Intention also recorded.]
Vital records of West Newbury, MA, p. 67 & 72
I tried to find a birth for Hannah. I searched all of Essex county using all the variants of Morrill. I didn't try Morrow and variants, but that could be a possibility. The only Anna's and Hannah's with reasonable birthdates were in Salisbury. It had a lot of Morrills. As it is only about 7 miles from West Newbury, it is possible one of them could be her.
MORRILL, Anna [Nancy. P.R. 59.], d. Amos and Anna, Mar. 13, 1800
Anna, d. Aaron and Anna, Nov. 14, 1802.
Anna R., d. Jonathan and Hannah, June 26, 1801
Vital records of Salisbury, MA, p. 163
P.R. 59 - Bible record now in possession of Mrs. George Fernald of Amesbury [this would be as of 1915]
Hannah, d. Moses and Hannah, Aug. 6, 1799
Hannah, d. Benjamin and Abigail, May 1, 1800
Hannah, d. Aaron and Nancy, Jan. 24, 1806
Hannah, d. Israel, jr. and Hannah, Sept. 20, 1806
Vital records of Salisbury, MA, p. 164
I was not able to find a possible death record for Hannah, which might have helped.
John Conte also has Jennie in his files. He lists her name as Jane M. Addison, b. Maine. He has this note:
Note: Family thought that she was born in Nova Scotia, but birth records ofEdwin Hardy list her birth place as Maine; Also known as Jennie;middle name may be "Margaret"; Birth record of her son, Edwin listsher name as Jane; her marriage record lists the name as " Jennie"
I hope this is of some help to you.
