Hi Diane, Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures either nor any stories. My mother was raised by her grandmother, Josephine Jones (Vogt). Josephine's parents were Catherine Herbertz & Daniel Vogt. However, she never spoke of her ancestors. I did receive the civil war pension file for Daniel Vogt which gave me the info to finally take the family back a few generations. Yes, I have found that most of the women use Minnie as a nickname of Wilhelmine or Wilhelmina.

Here are some addresses I found in the Detroit Directory CDs that I have. Of course, they didn't spell out the first name!! So it could be William or Wilhelm.
1879; Hardt, Wm - Cigarmkr, Penninsular Cigar Co.; H 456 Clinton Ave. page 388
1882; Hart, Wm - Cigarmkr, 319 Orleans; h same page 483
1884; Hardt, Wm - Cigar Mnfr, 274 Chene; h same page 599
1885; Hardt, Wm - Cigarmkr, 274 Chene; h same page 555
1886; Hardt, Wm - Cigarmkr, 274 Chene; h same page 639
1887; Hardt, Wm - Cigar Mnfr, 274 Chene; h same page 683
1893; Hardt, Wm - Cigar Mnfr, 353 Maple; h same page 479
1894; same as 1893; page 626
1895; Hardt, Wm - Cigar Mnfr, 278 Russell; h same page 648
Hope this helps in the search!!
