I am researching Cornelius McLEAN Sr. (circa 1774-Sep. 12, 1836) of Washington, D.C.
His grandson, Buritt McLean Hardisty/Hardesty married Charlotte Hanison Elder, b. Aug 16, 1845, d/o Francis William Elder and his first wife, Margueretta Lawrenson/Laurenson.
The last documentation I have of this couple is the 1880 Reisterstown, Baltimore Co, MD, census. B. Mclean Hardesty is the head of household, 39 years old, working in lumber. Charlott [sic] H. is 34. Nora T. Laurenson, 21, is listed as a cousin. I can find no other census or directory records of B. McLean and Charlotte after 1880.
A 1905 genealogy book about B. McLean Hardisty’s maternal grandmother’s family, Espy/Espey, states that McLean Hardisty is currently living in Boston, MA.
Does anyone have any other information about this couple after 1880?
