Can you figure an approximate birth date for Ethridge Golden? My Golden Hardison was brother to my great grandmother Eva Hardison Perry. My Golden was born about 1865-1870. I did not know his name was Ethridge Golden. That could be an important clue for me because Ethridge is a surname here in Martin county.
Durham and Wagaret Waters Hardison had the following children:
1.Golden Hardison
2 Durham Lloyd Hardison 1861 - 1897
3. Alice Hardison 1862 - 1947
4. Lenora Hardison 1866 -
5. Cothenia Hardison 1869 - 1946
6. Beasley Hardison 1872 -
7. Eva Viola Hardison 1877 - 1956(my great grandmother)
8. Virginia Dare Perry (died as a child)
9. Edmund Randolf Perry (died as a child)
I think the best way to find out about Golden Hardison and his children is the Lenoir County, NC census records.
Golden owned land in Martin County but sold it to my great grandmother when he moved to Cove City,Lenoir County, NC. My grandmother remembers taking the train to see her Uncle Golden. My grandmothers name was Lucy Perry Hardison.
I have this family well traced back to 1790.I'll be happy to share.
The home that Golden grew up in is still standing. It was built in about 1865.
