Hi Liz,
Always nice to hear from relatives. I don't know if we have the same Mayflower connections. It depends on which of the 3 brothers, John, Richard or Joseph, who arrived in 1623, you are from. I am from Joseph (I all him Joseph I) and Joseph II then Amaziah. My Mayflower conn. is thru Amaziah who married the granddaughter of Stephen Hopkins,
a MF pasenger. She was Hannah Rogers a descendant of Wm. Rogers (I think it was Wm.) also on the MF. Your Richard could have been from any one of the 3 bros. Those 3 names were used frequently by all 3 branches. I will have to do some research, especially thru the small book "Hardings in America" by Wilbur J. Harding. I have a lot of history of Joseph and his descendants, but very little of the other two.
I have been trying to find some of the John and Richard clans to see if they can shed some light on the story of how we got here. There is a lot of supposition in Wilbur's book that need to be supported or disproved. I am trying to compile a history of Joseph's line, but I need proof.
