Jesse is my gr+ grandfather.Even though his death record states his father was John...I believe he was the son of Thomas. But I can't prove it.As you probably know death records are not always right so I don't trust his father was John. I have parts of a diary that was written by one of Jesse's grandson's, Elisha W. Harding, that tell of his being a cousin to Mary Harding Gibson. She was the daughter of Miller Harding of PA.Miller was the son of Hurlburt Harding....(THE son of Thomas Harding???)Since Mary Harding and Elisha were cousins then it seems probable Jesse and Hurlburt were brothers, the sons of Thomas Harding (per Miner's Book).Unless there is a man named John Harding that had at least two son...one named Jesse and one named Hurlburt.Of Jesse's children:Lydia married #1 Gridley Tompkins. She married 2nd to John Baxter. She and John lived in Shiawassee/Genesee Co., MI.Lydia died 4 Sept 1901 and is buried in the Yerian cememtery in Venice Twp. Shiawassee Co., MI;Ira Cecil Harding married to Ancy Hall. Ira's family moved to Michigan with Jesse and Anna. They also lived inShiawassee County.Ira died in the Civil War, 16 Sept 1863, and Ancy then remarried to Ezra Bowers;I have nothing on Jesse and Anna's daughters Sylinda or Eliza Ann.
