Hello Robert,
My grandfather, Thomas William HARDING, told my Dad that he was born in London, England. That is about all we know of him except that he said his birthdate was 28 Oct 1878. At some point in time he emmigrated to Eastern Canada.I sent for his military records...He joined with the Canadian Expeditionary Forces during WW1 and was sent to England where he met my grandmother, Marion Elizabeth EXTON, married her and brought her to Canada as a war bride. She was from S. Chelsea, Middlesex, England.Thomas died 22 Feb 1947 in Vancouver, B.C. Canada. On his death certificate, my Dad wrote that Thomas had lived in Canada for 40 years. Also on his military record he listed "cousins" as William Daniel WRIGHT of St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada and Doris WELLS of #46 Shaklewell Lane, Dalston, London N., England. On another page in the report, Doris' name is listed as Miss D. M. Zeeck or Zuck (same address). In Canada, he worked for the railway. That is about all I know of him.I would love to find out more about his family...so far no luck.
Regards,
Frances Harding Ingram
