Amos Harding and his small tribal migration arrived in Ohio in 1820 with,two married sons Solomon and Mordecai with there families,two married daughters,Abigail stearnes and wealthy Baker,and there husbands,son william a widower whose wife Minerva had either been killed by wild beasts or,carried off by Indians several years before,sons Ebenezer and Benjamin Franklin,Bachelors,sixteen year old Hilah and her sister Mahals,age seven;the two boys thirteen year old John and Twelve year old Chauncey;and several grandchildren.George Tyron Harding,the eldest son who was the presidents Great grandfather,stayed in clifford,PA.with his second wife Elizabeth Madison,to settle the last of the family affairs.This John Harding became a wagon maker and moved to laporte Co. Indiana.
