Hello Judy,
Most of the research here has been done by a second cousin of my wife, and she has been fairly meticulous, but some tings don't add up.Ann Sarah Hedge's (nee Harding)death certificate has her father listed as (blank) Harding, and her mother as Ann Sarah (Blank). However, "On their marriage certificate Edward (Hedge) and Ann were both residing at Barrack Lane, New Windsor, Berkshire.Edward is down as a labourer.Ann's father is Henry White, labourer.Ann was christened at Great Marlow Church."Quoted from my wife's second cousin's notes.
So the White connection looks interesting, as do the places - Marlow and later Berkshire. When you say Mr White drwoned in 1800, do you mean 1900?
I have a photo of her if you are interested, in case family resemblance might be useful.
