I am looking for information On Andrew Hardy and his brother George who came to Canada about 1810. Andrew had been in the army I believe, George was a watchmaker. I am told they came to Ottawa but later that Andrew worked as a foreman on the building of Fort Henry in Kingston. I can verify this part and I know he got a land grant in Esquesing Township in Halton Co. ON. I am told his brother George went to the US.
On Andrews tomb stone is says he died in 1840 in his 78th year. He married Janet Douglas who was at least 33 years younger than him by my calculations and information.
His stone says he Came from Aberdeenshire. Are these names know to anyone
