I have some information on Joseph Hardesty. I found a copy of his bible records for him. He did not have a son, Joseph. His first wife was possibly named Henrietta and they had Nancy, Mary, Richard and another daughter, Ann. His second marriage was to Keziah Low, the widow of Peter Williamson and he had another daughter, Elizabeth with her. This daughter was born in 1815 in Fairfield County, OH and she later married Mitchell Morris. He died in 1843 in Fairfield County. I also have a copy of his will.
I believe that he came to Fairfield in 1806 along with another relative, George Hardesty, the Williamsons and several other families from Virginia. Feel free to contact me if you want.
