I appreciate your post and have something that may be of interest,Susanne Denune and Francis Hardesty have a son named Francis b1756/57 in Maryland as online family trees show.He is shown to have a wife Elizabeth supposedly Victor was her last name born around 1750-60s ,I dont know why people give her as Victor and I am also unaware why it is said they were married circa 1820.If Thomas Patterson is said to have grand children Thomas,William,Francis and James this would fit well with children I circumstantially place as the children of Francisb1756/57 whom died in Portage OH 1834. and unknown maybe Elizabeth.I place these children as likely that of FRANCIS because of geographical proximity.IE Thomas listed next to James in one census and Francis listed next to William in another primarily in Summit,Portage Ohio .I would place William with a birth date of abt 1797,James abt 1804,Francis unknown and Thomas abt 1791-1800.It is plausible that with the known activity of Francis during the revolutionary war that he might have married late and it is further more plausible that Elizabeth may have been married to an unknown Victor.Thomas Hardesty my ancestor probably son of Francis and Elizabeth Patterson? was mentioned in a biography written of his grandson William Thomas son of Hugh.In this biography it stated that his family had come to America in the beginning of the 18th century which fits well with the story of These Hardestys of Maryland as well.I would very much like to get a look at the will of Thomas Patterson.Please contact me at bdhdsty@att.net
