Christine, We don't have too much more to offer other than what was in my original post and what's on our web site. I can send you a little MS Word doc that lays out the Hardesties I was able to find in censuses, marriage and other online records in Clinton Co. I think it's almost certain that you Hardesty is connected to ours - there just aren't that many Hardesty families in Clinton Co. in 1850. Probably we'd need to find a will for one of the older families there at the time. If you send me your email address I will send you the doc and you can see what you think. Our branch of the Hardesties is buried in Cowan's Creek Cemetery near New Vienna. We have a couple of stones photographed on our web site: Robert Hardesty and Luella Hardesty (Taylor).
