Warren, I have something for you. Joseph Hardesty, 1765? married to a Mary Unknown had a daughter Mary Hardesty who married Jesse Hughes. Mary Bd 8-237-1790 Faifield Co,OH? dd 3-18-1844 and Jesse Hughes/Huse/Hughs bd 1-15-1787 dd 7-20-1864. Jesse was my grandfather's namesake. My grandfather was Jesse Hughes Steele who died in Adams Co,IN. I joined Daughters of 1812 on Jesse Hughes. His grave is in East Union Cemetary,Hocking Twp,Fairfield Co,OH. Mary's grave location is not known. Jesse married Sarah Deavor after Mary died. I have a long genealogy of this Jesse Hughes that I am willing to share. Do you have anything more on the Hardesty, Hughes families? I do not have anything on the Pierce or Carlin families.

This Jesse Hughes appears to be a cousin of some sort to the Jesse Hughes who was the frointersman in W VA. and married to Grace Tanner. Do you have anything on the Skaggs family which seems to be intertwinded with the Hughes,Coffman and Gum families?
