I am trying to find some of the maternal lines in my husbands genealogy and came up with a possible marriage for Mary Louise Hawkins b. 1870 d. 1908 to a George Hardi(e)sty in the late 1890's possibley in Renfrew County, Ontario. They had a daughter, Doris, about 1899. This is verbal information collected in the 1970's and as yet not verified. The problem is that I can find only one George as possible groom (1881 Census)and he is not the one who married Mary. I haven't been able to find them in the 1901 Census so they may have gone to the U.S. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Linda These are the only two Georges but not mine: George W.
