Hardesty, Laclede Co, MO then went West

In a pension file of one of my ancestors, I have come across a story about a man named John Jones who married a woman named Rebecca Hardesty. In the early 1860s they were living in Laclede Co, MO. They were supposedly from Marian Co?, IL or Burlington, KY. Other names mentioned are Edward and John Hardesty, Lucinda Hardesty, Mary Hardesty (married a man named Thomas Frozien/Frazier). Some of the Hardestys, with John Jones, supposedly left Laclede Co, MO in 1861 to go to Pike's Peak to look for gold and ended up living in "Denver City" CO. All of this is in old, hard to read handwriting.

If any of this sounds familiar, please let me know.

Thanks,

Cindy Kennedy
