I am tying to trace the descendents of John Huse Hardenbrook and Philinda Katherine Montgomery both from Madison,Jefferson Ind. Both born in 1840s. They left Indianna in 1870 to settle in Dallas Co. Iowa. Most of their grandchildren were settled in Des Mines,Polk Co,Iowa. His son Lou was a police captain in Des Moines. I have many early photos of the Hardenbrooks to share. I know a young civil war picture exists and Im hoping who ever has it will let me pay to copy it. I have the surname Hardenbrook traced to 1660 in Eberfield,Germany. Elaine s88897@@aol.com
