Ann HALL Joseph HARDAWAY POCAHONTAS
Posted by: Kay Balsley Date: June 23, 2000 at 20:58:16

Is Anne BOLLING (b 1713 Dinwiddie Co VA), who married John HALL (abt 1730),[and had a daughter, Ann HALL (b1745)who married Joseph HARDAWAY (6 AUG 1753)]a descendent of POCAHONTAS?

Ann HALL and Joseph HARDAWAY's son, Drury HARDAWAY married Ann Hall STITH, and had a son, Richard Buckner HARDAWAY.

I keep finding research that indicates that Ann BOLLING's father was Robert BOLLING (wife listed as Anne Mary MERRIWETHER or Nancy COCKE)who was the son of Col. Robert BOLLING and Jane ROLFE.

Jane ROLFE was the daughter of Thomas ROLFE and Jane POYTHRESS, and Thomas ROLFE was the only son of John ROLFE and POCAHONTAS.

NOW,...if you haven't become just as confused as I am...

Am I right that there is a clear, documented line of descent from John ROLFE and POCAHONTAS...down to Ann BOLLING, and from her, to Ann HALL, wife of Joseph HARDAWAY?

ANY help, or corrections will be most appreciated!

Kay Balsley
