According to my information Richard Harcourt was b New Jersey abt 1739, Died Harrison Co. Kentucky abt 1822. His parents were William Harcourt b Ireland abt 1718, Spouse Unknown, Father was Richard Harcourt b 1692 in Ireland.
My Gr Grmother Sarah Harcourt b abt 1832 in NIR, has the lineage:-
Fa: Richard b abt 1786 in Co Down, NIR [Mo: Eliza?] "Merchant of Newry" Died abt 1844.
Fa: John H. b abt 1747 Co. Down, - mar. Mary abt 1779 Died Apr 1818.
Fa: Richard H. b abt 1716 Co. Down NIR had a brother Charles Alexander Died abt 1772.
Fa: Richard H. b abt 1685, Co. Down, NIR
BECAUSE OF SIMILARITY BETWEEN NAMES AND BIRTHYEAR ESTIMATES THERE IS A GOOD CHANCE YOUR RICHARD BORN 1730 IS THE SAME AS THE RICHARD BORN ABT 1739 TO WILLIAM ABOVE.
THIS MEANS WE PROBABLY LINK BACK TO RICHARD BORN ABT 1685 IN DONAGHMORE, [NEAR NEWRY] IN Co DOWN NIR.
Do you have any further info [SUCH AS THE CHILDREN BORN TO YOUR RICHARD] which might confirm this link please. According to my info these children were Richard, John, William and Sarah. All except William born 1760-1770 in NJ - William in Indiana.
