Although not related, I spent a good part of eighteen years with Miss Olive Harcourt, who from the early 1940's acted as my guardian. Born in Boulogne, France in 1868, Olive Isabelle was the youngest child of Edwin and Isabella (nee Hawkes). Edwin, born 1821, was the son of Robert (b. 1794 Brassfounder) and Maria of Birmingham. Several years before her death, in 1957, Olive gave me her diaries which I am editing and researching. I have some tiny tinted portrait photographs taken in about the mid 1850's of two women and two men - an older and younger couple.Could they be of Robert & Maria and Edwin & Isabella? I will be happy to share the information I have with you.
