Harbuck's in Warren Co.
I'm looking for information on any Harbuck families in Warren County (other than census records which don't seem to help much) between late 1700's and early 1800's.Based on family history, my ggg grandfather was William Adolophus Harbuck, Sr. married in 1847 to a Sarah Elvira Rivers (possiblly Reviere).I am trying to verify this as well as determine who his father was.The census index information doesn't seem to support a William Harbuck in this time frame. In the 1820 census, there are only three Harbuck's (heads of household) listed for Warren Co.: James, Michael, and Nicholas.Wills on the GAGENWEB for Nicholas Harbuck list a William Harbuck as an executor. Also, there is a will for a William Harbuck dated 1825.The puzzleing thing is that no William Harbuck is listed (in the census index) as a head of household in Warren Co. until the 1840 census.Any help would be appreciated.
P.S. I understand that the Harbucks came to Georgia by way of two brothers (Herbach)around 1737.Does anyone know who and/or when a Harbuck came to Warren Co.I have also found some information that there were Harbuck's in Massachuttes in the early 1800's but have know idea if there is any relationship.
