Beth,I was just researching these Harbins last night I feel they may fall into my Fowlers history in both Pendleton, Anderson SC and Cherokee County Ga.
Questions
Is the William you speak of the one in Fairfeild County SC in 1790??
Jesse Harbin shows up in the 1850 Cherokee County Census Dist 15 age 79 born NC with wife Sarah age 64??Are there two wifes named Sarah??
there is an Elizabeth Harbin who married William Fowler before 1820 she was born about 1794 in SC per census. Is she a child or neice of Jesse??It appears both the family of Jesse Harbin and the family of William Fowler are in Pendleton Dist in 1820, I have found the fowlers in Anderson (formed from Pendleton 1826)1830, lost track of Jesse for the moment. In 1840 The fowlers appear to be in Cherokee County Ga and I believe their daughter Harriet Fowler married in 1841 from same county.Anyway in 1850 Jesse Harbin appears in the the 1850 cherokee County GA Census with wife Sarah. He is stated to have died in same county in 1856.
Do you have any information on the Boone's??Are they sisters??I also have a Boone line, maybe two at this point.
I will look for a census in GA with John S. and Nancy, they may tie in as well. I followed Nathaniel around in SC I will now look for him in GA.
Sorry to go on so long but I have searched for the parents of my Harriet Fowler for so long and I think I finally have a good lead and will follow it tell I prove or disprove it.Thank you CATHY
