Dated this 26th day of April, A. D. 1893 E. McClellan, Clerk C.C. Leforgre, Attorney Article from The Decatur Review Newspaper Tuesday, September 9, 1930 Andrew Harbert of Moorefield, Nebraska is visiting his half-brother Fred E. Wilson at Macon, and is also spending some time with the William Moss family near Blue Mound, and other relatives. Mr Harbert, who is an Uncle of Mannie (Emanuel C. Wilson), Republican candidate for sheriff, was born near Macon. He left here forty-six years ago and this is his first visit back home. He was a schoolmate of Otho Hill and Mr. Hill was one of the first old friends he met after alighting from the train. He noted a great many changes as he was driven out to Macon, but he recognized the St. Nicholas Hotel, which is about the only thing on Lincoln Square that was there forty-six years ago. Of course the Bachrach Store is there, but it is in a new building. The transfer house was not there when Mr. Harbert went away. NOTES OF WILSON FAMILY OF MACON, ILLINOIS Fred Wilson (born in 1859 in Illinois) and his wife Elva (born 1862 in Illinois) are the parents of Emanuel C. Wilson (also known as Manny, he was born 1883 in Illinois) and his brother Arthur E. Wilson (born in 1884 in Illinois). Arthur Wilson was a professional baseball player, believe he played for the New York Giants and began his baseball career in 1908. Hope someone recognizes someone Darlene Notify Administrator about this message?
