My ancestor was born in 1830. Other researchers have given me his pedigree and it goes back to a Houber family. The line runs from George to Henry to Jacob Adam to Adam. Somewhere in there, the changed the spelling from Houber or Hauber to Harber. Henry was born 1803 in So. Carolina, so maybe there is a connection?
