Hi Joellen - thanks for your response. Chambers Christian Harbaugh was my great grand father. His father was George F.,b.1821, in Washington County, Md, and died in Pittsburgh, Pa Dec. 11, 1842. He was married to Sarah Day. They are both buried at the Union Dale Cemetery, Pittsburgh, with their son, George. According to the Cooprider 1947 book on the Harbaugh family, George served in the civil war, from 1861-1863. I have not been able to find out much about him, except he and his family are listed in the 1850 census for Pittsburgh. According to Cooprider, the linage of George F. is unknown. However, based on old letters that I have from my great aunt Alice Harbaugh, the sister of Chambers, and from another great cousin abt. 1944, George F. is the son or Jonathon and Mary Sheets. Chambers is spelled as Chambiers, but somewhere along the line, it changed. He is buried in Colorado City, Colo., with his wife, Sylvia Harris and their daughter Eva. If you have anymore information about my branch of the Harbaugh family, I would appreciate receiving it from you. How are you related to the Harbaugh family? Greg Harbaugh. gailgreg1@aol.com Notify Administrator about this message?
