I'm going to try to scan in those baptismal records asap so I can show you exactly what I mean. It looks like it's written in Latin and Slovakian. To my knowledge they spoke Slovakian and not Hungarian. My greatgrandfather's wife was Hungarian though. (Last name Toth, so you can see why I'm focusing on the other side of the family.)
I did get a chance to speak to my grandfather this week, and he said that his father had a sister Anna. (We believe she married a man with the last name Wilchak) Anna had a daughter Susan who married a Frank Horvath.
On a side note, after puzzling why the family would have just up and left their homes in Slovakia, I came upon a website that said there was a terrible Cholera outbreak from 1830-1880 in Zemplin and after it was over, about 20% of the population immigrated.
I'm going to contact my great grandmother tonight and see if I can get any more information on this side of the family.
