Ok, I have baptismal records from 1887 and 1890 for my great great grandfather's Father and Mother...
Rather hard to read because they're in Latin and Hungarian, but one is from Humenne and one looks like it's from Surinokz?
They are Jan Harakal, father Andrej Harakal (underneath it says R. Lat. Robluik) and Wife Maria Kolz. This was in 1887
in Surinokz.
Anna Bosho (sp?)who's parents were Andrez Bosho (Underneath it says R. Douclas or Doublas or Douchas) and Ellana Skunna. This was in 1890 In Humenne.
I know that my Great Grandfather was named John James Harakal, he had a brother Joe that Died in WWII and that he joined the army after he immigrated by way of stowing away on a boat with his brother Tony.I think they may have had a sister Anna too, but my grandfather's explaination is rambling and confusing.
Anna Harakal married someone named WilchakThey had a son who was George Wilchak who in turn had a daugher named Maryanne Wilchak.I don't know if this will be helpful, but I'll try to pump my grandfather for more information, and will also be setting a date to speak to my great grandmother (Helen Toth Harakal) who is still alive.
