according to my cousin in Philadelphia, there were to groups of happolds that came to this country at about the same time. One group made it to Philadelphia and the other group went to Minnesota. He made contact with the group in 1971, in Nebraska. They also spread southward into Iowa and then to Nebraska.

Mostly they were and are farmers. The males in that group had some kind of congenital heart problem and many of them died early.
Between 40 and 50 years of age.

Two groups left the farming and sold farm equipment. They were and are millionaires.
There is also a group living outside of Chicago.

I haven't made contact with any of them. As I said my cousin e-mailed me this information.

His father is the oldest of our immediate Happold family but he has been unable to get much information on our family.

You might want to try these areas for more on your Happold family.

If you hear anything about my ancestors please let me know.

Thanks for the contact.

Chris
