Dear Nancy
Good to hear back from you and great to hear all the background details to your line.
Firstly apologies, as i was wrong about the IGI Richard.I was getting myself confused - too much data flying about.I have two IGI Richards, one born Abt 1797 and a christenning in 1795.Not an exact hit so for the moment that line is open.
You mention you have copies or entries for the 1841 and 1851 census.I would love to see those entries for the Hanwell clan to add to my own documentation.
For more information on my line the best place to go is to the website my brother Mark runs (we very much do the research together):his site is at http://maxpages.com/goochhttp://maxpages.com/gooch
As you will see from that we are both english - hence the timeslip between messages.I was also born and lived for my early years in the Tottenham area (like Freddie) before we moved out of London.Perhaps my english base could be of use as I do go to the PRO (the new equivalent of Somerset House) 2 or 3 times a year. Also, Mark and I now have copies of the 1891 London Census. It is not indexed but maybe there could be something of interest in there.
Finally, as I am wary of clogging up Genforum with our backwards and forwards messages you can always mail me direct at
